This project was a renovation to the existing 18,926 GSF 2-story Martin Hall, the former College of Nursing facility, to provide a new STEAM Center for Applied Creativity and Innovation for VSU.
The new work involved adding an elevator, replacing the two existing stairs and renovating the interiors to accommodate the new programmatic needs that will be housed in this facility. The project also included reconfiguring and adding plumbing fixtures, a new fire protection system, and modifying existing HVAC system to accommodate new interiors. A new, accessible entry was also added with solar panels that also doubled as the roof surface. It was completed in 2015 at with budget of 1.7 million with Kellerman Construction as the contractor.
